Amanda Byerly and Daniel Cervantez to wed

Mark and Lorrie Byerly of Galesburg, IL are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Byerly, to Dan Cervantez, son of Steve Cervantez and Carrie Cowan Cervantez.

Amanda and Dan are high school sweethearts and became engaged in September of 2010 when Dan got down on one knee and proposed at Wrigley Field.

The bride-to-be is a 2008 graduate of Galesburg High School in Galesburg, IL. She is currently a Senior at Knox College in Galesburg, IL, majoring in Elementary Education with minors in Spanish and Anthropology. She is currently employed as a nanny.

The groom is a 2006 graduate of Galesburg High School in Galesburg, IL. He is a 2012 Knox College graduate with a major in Educational Studies and a minor in Environmental Studies. He is currently employed as a conductor by BNSF Railroad in Minot, North Dakota.

The couple will be married at 3 o'clock in the afternoon on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Central Congregational Church in Galesburg, IL. A reception will follow immediately after the ceremony at The Knights of Columbus in Galesburg, IL.

The couple will reside in Minot, North Dakota after the wedding.
