Judson and Vander Vennet Wedding

Elizabeth Judson, of Galesburg, IL, and Matthew Vander Vennet, of Peoria, IL, were married on July 7, 2012. The Reverends Fr. Donald Henderson and Fr. Eugene Radosevich officiated Mass with Deacon James Haneghan at St. Philomena Catholic Church, Peoria, IL. A reception followed at the Cornerstone Building.

Parents of the couple are David and Marjorie Judson of Galesburg and Gregory Vander Vennet and Linda Vander Vennet, both of Peoria. Grandparents are Dolores and the late Kenneth Weissenburger, Irene and the late Laurence Vander Vennet, the late Herman and Elizabeth Nauman, and the late Malcolm and Mary Judson.

Maid of Honor was Jennifer Callihan of Galesburg, IL, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Shalea Otto of Colorado Springs, CO, friend of the bride; Lindsey Powell of Galesburg, IL, friend of the bride; Katie Hall of Monmouth, IL, friend of the bride; and Megan Vander Vennet of Peoria, IL, sister of the groom.

Best Man was Stephen Vander Vennet of Peoria, IL, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Brandon Wanless of St. Paul, MN, friend of the groom; Benjamin McCauley of Milwaukee, WI, friend of the groom; Jordan Jesse of DeKalb, IL, friend of the groom; and Matthew Cusack of Peoria, IL, friend of the groom.

Ushers were Michael Nauman of North Little Rock, AR, cousin of the bride; Steven Nauman of North Little Rock, AR, cousin of the bride; and Dane Smith of Peoria, IL, friend of the groom.

Flower girls were Sophia Shadid of Peoria, IL, goddaughter of the groom, and Grace Bailes of Jefferson City, MO, cousin of the bride. Ring bearers were Charlie Shadid of Peoria, IL, cousin of the groom, and Jameson Bailes of Jefferson City, MO, godson of the bride.

The bride is a graduate of Galesburg High School. She graduated from Eureka College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and is currently attending the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Missouri in Columbia. The groom is a graduate of Notre Dame High School in Peoria, IL. He also graduated from Eureka College and is currently employed as the Director of Annual Giving at Central Methodist University in Fayette, MO.

Mr. and Mrs. Vander Vennet honeymooned in Bar Harbor, Maine. They reside in Columbia, MO.
