On September 26, 2008, Janet C. Mongeau and Michael Petit, both of Narragansett, RI., celebrated their wedding. The ceremony was held at 7 p.m. in the Hotel Viking, in Newport, RI, and was officiated by Justice of the Peace, Anne Collins.
Serving as Matron of Honor was the bride’s daughter, Sarah Mongeau of Pawtucket, RI. Erin Petit and Kate Petit the Grooms daughters were brides maides. Grace Petit served as Flower Girl; she is a niece of the groom.
Best Man was Tim Petit of lincoln, RI, brother of the groom. Chris Mongeau and Kyle Mongeau of Pawtucket, RI , gave their mom away.
A reception took place immediately following the ceremony. The bride and groom would like to thank everyone who made their wedding a day to remember.
The groom is employed by The Rhode Island Department of Corrections and the bride is employed by the Northern Rhode Island Colaborative.
The couple went on a honeymoon to Cape Cod, MA. They are making their home in Narragansett.
